Throwback Thursday!

Hi guys! Nymeria here! Mia was nice enough to let me do a Throwback Thursday post since I haven’t done one yet!

As you know, my humom adopted me from Spain. I was already about 8 months when I was flown to Canada so she missed out on my little puppy stage. The rescue guessed that I was about 3 months when they found me so my estimated birthday is sometime in March of this year!

Look how tiny I was!

They found me with a male galgo. They suspect that he could be my father but no one knows for sure! He was very timid and shy when we came into the shelter but I was a little firecracker! When they found us, I was very friendly and greeted everyone with tail wags and back flips!

I was always ready to play! I hope my galgo friend eventually found a furever home.

Even at this early age I was already into tennis balls! Mia better watch out! She’s got competition!

Here’s a little short video they took of me!

I have such a wonderful life now and I am so thankful for my new family and friends. I hope all my Scooby friends back in Spain will find furever homes too.

I’m still getting the hang of things here in Vancouver. I’m still weary of strangers especially men but I’m sure I’ll come around someday. Just not yet. Mia and I are starting to play a little bit more together and I’ve made some wonderful new friends like my fellow galga Avalon! Isn’t she beautiful?

I will always be grateful for the wonderful people that took me in and saved me from the streets but I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life. Everyday is a new adventure! Thanks for reading! Come back soon for more updates! 🙂

Flashback Friday

My humom was going through my pawddy Bruno’s Instagram account the other day and she found some puppy videos me on it!

If you missed the post about Bruno you can check it out here!

So why would Bruno have puppy videos of me on his Instagram?? (I mean who wouldn’t right?.. BOL!) Way back when I was a tiny puppy, my humom needed someone to watch me for the day because the fire department needed to test the fire alarms in our building. Bruno’s humom graciously offered her home for the day and even set up a special space just for me!

When Wilhelmina’s humom first met me, she nicknamed me her little bunny…ever wonder why?…

..This is me running or “bouncing” in slow motion with my big floppy ears like a little bunny!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you have a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday – Meet Duke!

Happy Thursday Friends! I haven’t done a throwback in a while so I’m going to throw it back to early last spring when I was a few months old!

IMG_9064

Do I look like a little bunny here? That’s what Wilhelmina’s humom likes to call me sometimes because I have such big ears! I was such a small puppy back then!

Way back before I met Wilhelmina, I used to play with a puppy named Duke! He’s a month younger than me. Isn’t he so handsome? His humans think he’s a mix between a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mastiff.

He is much bigger than me but he was always very gentle when we played together.

IMG_9047

I haven’t seen him for more than 6 months now. There was an incident where he chased after a car and he dragged down his human. She broke her leg and arm and took a while to recover. Since then, Duke hasn’t been able to be out off leash in public, he gets very nervous around dogs and strangers. It was a very traumatic incident for him.

(This photo was taken just a couple of weeks before the incident)

We visited him once at his house and we had a good time running around in his backyard. I hope he is doing okay, we miss him a lot!

Tongue Out Tuesday with Keiko!

It’s Tongue Out Tuesday and I thought I would share some photos of Keiko! He’s so photogenic I need to get some tips from him!

Look how cute this guy was at 6 months! (2004)

He loved car rides too! Keiko and our humom had many adventures!

Car rides are the best! (2004)

Fun at the dog park! (2007 & 2008)

Keiko’s 10th Birthday!!! (2013)

Keiko also loves hanging out at the beach! As long as he’s far away from the water, he’s not a fan! Can you believe he’s 12 in this photo?? (2015)

Look at this handsome guy! He doesn’t age! He’s 13 in this photo! (2017)

Hope you all enjoyed Keiko’s photos! Have a great Tuesday!

Throwback Thursday

It’s another Throwback Thursday but I thought I would share the limelight today and go back to when it was just my humom and my furbrother Keiko. I’m usually not this generous because I like to be the center of attention pretty much ALL THE TIME…but hey…I guess you could say I’m maturing a bit??…NAHHH who are we kidding???

Ok ok…back to Keiko….look at this little dude! What cute little furball…my humom got him when he was 4 months old wayyyy back in 2004.

IMG_8075

Unfortunately back then she didn’t have a very good camera or cell phone camera so she doesn’t have as many puppy pictures of Keiko as she does now with me!

IMG_0135

What a happy little pup! He was 6 months in this photo! So fluffy!

Keiko’s favorite pastime is napping in the sun.

IMG_0300

My humom says he was a very mischievous little boy. He was always doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing…like digging in the garden or hopping onto the rocks in the pond or escaping from the backyard. But she said he never chewed on furniture or shoes or delicious paper in the garbage like I did…he doesn’t know what he’s missing out on!

Keiko is very popular with my humom’s friends. So popular in fact that he was asked to be the ring bearer at a friend’s wedding! Doesn’t he look so handsome?

Can you believe he’s 13 years old??? Lookin’ good old man!

IMG_3153

He doesn’t have the energy to come with us and Wilhelmina on our forest walks anymore. I think he prefers to rest at home where its nice and quiet. I let him snuggle with my toys. 🙂

Well, that’s all for now! Thanks for visiting! Hope you liked learning a little bit about my furbrother! Come visit again soon!

Mondaze…

Ugh is it Monday already?? Why do the weekends go by so quickly? I need another 5 minutes…maybe 20…I’m still recovering from the weekend!

mondaze

My humom always tries to pack a lot of fun things for me on the weekends since she works during the week. As usual we always head into the trails with my bestie Wilhelmina and her furbrother Duffy! He’s a Pomeranian Yorkshire Terrier Mix.

We also met a super adorable English Bulldog puppy! I actually didn’t pay much attention to him because I was too busy chewing on a delicious stick. My humom however was so smitten over him she was taking lots of photos and videos. He name is Bubba and he’s 4 months old. I mean, I GUESS he’s pretty cute…but he’s got nothin’ on me!

This weekend was the last class for our Agility class so we had a lot of extra fun!

Here’s a couple of videos! I apologize if the quality is low, I’m still trying to figure out all this blogging/uploading stuff! (If you’re on the computer you can change the quality to HD by clicking the settings icon on the bottom corner.)

Flying through the tire!

Wilhelmina and I jumping over the A-frame!

Running on the dog walk! Wilhelmina cheated!

By the end of the day we were so tired we were completely passed out in the car!

Throwback Thursday!

Time for a throwback! For my first throwback thursday post I’m going to go back to my puppy days! Boy was I tiny! I was only 5 lbs when my humom first got me (at 9 weeks). My humom always says how much she misses my puppy days when I would tire out really fast and sleep but she sure doesn’t miss the potty training!

IMG_7889

Just look at those “innocent” eyes….

IMG_7912

I was so cute she couldn’t resist letting me sit in the front seat! I’m too big now so I have to sit in the back 😦 but I guess it’s for my own safety!

IMG_7822

Being a puppy sure is hard work! Time for a nap!

Thanks for visiting! Come back soon! 🙂
