Happy Rainy Wednesday!
Mia
The sun decided to come out for us on our walk with Wilhelmina, Avalon and Duffy today! At first we didn’t know if it was going to rain so the humoms made us wear all our rain gear.
But as soon as the sun came through the clouds, off came the jackets! Of course this meant more photo taking. Sigh….Can we ever just go out for a walk without a photoshoot???
In their defense, the humoms said they just wanted to show off all our beautiful colors and markings. Well in that case…okay FINE…but just a few! Then we’re off to play!
Mia: Are we done yet???
Hope you guys had a good weekend!
Mia
My humom is starting to worry a bit that Nymeria and I won’t get along because I’m still a little mean to her when we play outside, or if I try to play with her indoors she ignores me. We don’t like sleeping close to one another and I still get a bit protective over MY humom.
Nymeria has been with us (and in this country) for 4 weeks now. She’s made some progress with other things like potty training, and socializing at doggy daycare but our humom thought that her and I needed some good sister bonding time. Blah.
She thinks that playing fetch together isn’t good enough (because it becomes competitive) and that we need a nice long walk where we can both run free. She decided that the jetty would be the best place to take us (the forest has too many little animals and smells, Nymeria would never come back). We usually go to the jetty with my bestie Wilhelmina and Avalon and Duffy but this time it was what I call “forced sister bonding time”.
The walk started off okay I guess…Nymeria got excited about a bunch of birds in the water.
Nymeria: Hey Mia! What are those white things in the water?? How can we get down there?? I wanna go see!!
Mia: Relax, they’re just birds…probably just lookin’ for fish. We’re not allowed down there. Are you going to be this annoying the whole walk??
Nymeria: I’m not annoying! You’re annoying!
Nymeria: You pick on me all the time!
Mia: That’s what big sisters are for!
Nymeria: Have you looked in the mirror lately?? I’m “bigger” than you!
Mia: Fine, then that’s what OLDER sisters are for! 😛
Mia: I’m going to go find something stinky to eat or roll in
Nymeria: Hey wait up! I want to come!
Mia: Hey! What’s that over there?
Nymeria: Where? What? Oooo…I think I see something!
Mia: I saw it first! It’s mine!
It’s a fish’s head!!! Jackpot!
Nymeria: I’ve never had one of those. Is it any good?
Mia: Are you kidding?? They’re delicious!! Er..I mean…no they’re alright…save your palette for something tastier. I’ll take this one.
Humom: Uh no, none of you will take this one. I’m throwing it away!
Mia: Sigh FINE…I’ll go look for something else before you can stop me!
Humom: No you will not. You will sit pretty and take some photos with your sister.
On our way home, Nymeria was totally passed out on the car.
Pfft. Amateur. I was ready for the next adventure!!! Where to mom??
What kind of adventures do you guys have planned for the weekend? Happy Friday everyone! Hope you have a great weekend too!
Mia
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Tongue Out Tuesday post! You can bet that anytime I’m playing fetch with my humom my tongue is going to be hanging out!
Nymeria likes to get in on the action too but it’s annoying when she doesn’t bring back the ball! Then *I* have to go get it sigh….My humom says to give her some time for her to get the hang of the game. All Nymeria likes to do is chase the ball and play with it.
My humom says that I’ve been really good about sharing my ball. When I know that Nymeria will get to the ball first I just let her get it and I’ll come back and wait for the next throw.
Can you see her in the background? See how she doesn’t even come back to our humom? Good thing she’s got her long leash attached to her so my humom can pull her back!
I’m the good furchild! I always come back!
We’re taking a break in the shade. The nice cool grass on my belly sure feels nice!

Happy Tongue Out Tuesday Furiends!
Mia
We’ve been lucky here in Vancouver where even though the temperatures have dropped a bit, we haven’t gotten any snow that has stuck to the ground and caused chaos in the city. (Vancouverites are wimps when it comes to snow compared to our East Coast friends).
Nymeria got to meet my buddy Bruno for the first time. She didn’t get to run and play with us though. My humom says it’s still too soon to let her run loose in the woods, she might not come back!
The other black dog you see in the photos is Todd, he’s Bruno’s friend. The humoms couldn’t get all of us to sit still for a photo so all they got were black blurs. BOL!
Hope this sunny dry weather lasts a little bit longer before the dark cold winter days come!
TGIF!! Happy Friday Furiends!
Mia
The first Monday Mischief post on this blog! Waitaminute…what is this I hear?…My fursister Nymeria already did a Monday Mischief post?? WITHOUT MY CONSENT??? On MY blog??? How dare she??? Add that to the list of on my Roommate Nightmare post!
Mia: What’s this I hear you did a Monday Mischief post on my blog??
Nymeria: Hey you were sleeping! You snooze you lose!
Anyhoo…I guess I can’t stay TOO mad because we all had a pretty fun time together and I got to roll in some pretty awesome stuff!! (And by awesome I mean REALLY STINKY heehee).
My humom was NOT impressed, especially because I was wearing her favorite collar. It’s my Autumn chipmunk collar.
I was showing Nymeria the best spots on the jetty to roll in but she wasn’t fast enough and our humom caught her right in time. Pfft. Amateur. Every time my humom tried to catch me, I already left the scene!
Mia: I wasn’t doing anything…
Mia: Hmm…I wonder what other smelly things I can roll in…
Duffy: Is that what I smell?? It’s coming from you??? Wait..can you show me where?…I want some of that action!
Wilhelmina: MmMmm! Mia you smell wonderful!
Mia: What? We weren’t doing anything..I was NOT showing Duffy where I last rolled in…for reals!
I also got Wilhelmina into some mischief too. There’s no photos of the evidence since we ate it all but the humoms were very upset. I threw it up later on the jetty, my humom won’t let me post any pictures of it.
Nymeria: Hey Wilhelmina! What was that thing you and Mia were eating back there?
Wilhelmina: Hmmm…I can still taste it in my mouth…it was so good!
Nymeria: Show me where! Is there any more back there?
Mia: SHHH!! Don’t tell her anything Wilhelmina! Cuz then we’ll have to share!
Mia: Hey Avalon! There you are! Where did you go?
Avalon: I was just rolling in some stuff and I found something to eat too!
Mia: Nice work!
As punishment for all the mischief we did today they made us sit still for a BAJILLION group photos. *YAWN*.
Mia: Sigh…Are these family photos really necessary???
Wilhelmina: Psssst!…Mia! Let’s ditch this photo session after and go find more of that dead animal!
Mia: Shhh!! Just play it cool Wilhelmina! We don’t want to get caught again!
And if that wasn’t enough, we were tortured again with BATHS!!!!!
Mia: How can you guys sleep?? Don’t you know where we’re going next???
Mia: These guys don’t know what’s coming….Just innocently sleeping…
I refused to put any of the humiliating bath photos up, even though my humom REALLY wanted to share.
By the end of it all, we were exhausted. So exhausted that I didn’t even care that I shared the couch with Nymeria.
Mia: I always get mom’s lap!
Did you guys get into any mischief today?
Mia
Hi Guys! Nymeria here. The other day my humom took me to this really scary place called the vet! Mia said she’d come with me for moral support but really I think she just wanted to come to show off! Yeah…that’s right…show off. She LOVES going to the vet. She thinks it’s some kind of social event where she can say hi to everyone and get treats.
She kept running around and jumping up and down off the bench.
I, on the other hand, was looking for the nearest exit!
Nymeria: Is this how I escape? Mia, help me get out of here!
Mia: Oh relax you big baby. The vet office is fun!!! Let’s get this party started! Where are the treats!
Mia: Mom, why is Nymeria so scared? Doesn’t she see how fun the vet is? Everyone is so nice and gives us yummy things to eat!
Nymeria: Is this what you call fun?? What is she doing to my ear??
Mia: Relax…Dr. Ong is just making sure your ears are clean and there are no infections. I love Dr. Ong! She’s the best! She’s so nice and caring and gentle. We’re super lucky to have her as our dog doctor!
Nymeria: Now what is she about to do????
Mia: Just chill man! She’s about to check your teeth and gums!
Nymeria: OMD! Now what is she doing?? Mom I’m scared!
Mia: Calm down…She is just checking all your muscles, joints and bones.
Mia: See? It’s all over now! That wasn’t so bad was it??
Nymeria: I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted from all that! GOOD NIGHT!
Overall, the vet visit went pretty well. My humom said I was very brave and by the end of the visit I was comfortable enough to take treats from everyone. There was even a vet tech in the backroom that wanted to come in and meet me. I guess Mia and Keiko are pretty famous at this place. When they heard of a new addition to the family they all wanted to meet me.
Mia said she was proud of me too and shared the bed with me a little bit the next day.
What do you think of the vet? Are you more cautious like me? or a social butterfly like my fursiblings Mia and Keiko?
Have a great weekend furiends!
~Nymeria~
So Furiends…as you know…I have a new fursister. She’s only been here for a couple of weeks now but let me tell you something…She’s a TERRRRRIBBBLEEEE roommate!
First off…she totally HOGS the couch! I mean…look at that! Sheesh! She took my spot and now I can’t even nap there!
At least I still get to cuddle with MY humom. Hmph.
Secondly…SHE’S A TOTAL SLOB! Look at the messes she makes! She kicks off all the blankets, drags the kitchen cloth into the living room, pulls down all the towels…Who does she think she is??
Look what she did to the couch cushion!!!
Thirdly….She tries to steal my food and treats!!!! She’s so greedy!!! After she finishes INHALING her food, she runs over and tries to eat mine!!! (Now my humom puts her her in crate and closes the door so if she finishes early she has to wait until I finish my food.)
Anytime we get treats she always tries to eat mine OUT OF MY HUMOMS HAND!
She doesn’t even play with me. All she does is look out the window.
And THEN!….The WORST of them all….SHE TRIES TO HOG THE BED!!! Correction…MY bed!!!! I always get to sleep on the bed and now she’s trying to take over that too! I’m sorry but there’s no room for the both of us.
Mia: I’ve already relinquished the couch so I get to keep MY bed and mom’s lap. Got it??
Nymeria: Ok FIIIINNNNE….I’ll take the couch….and the dog bed….and the…
Mia: No no no! That’s it. You have the couch but I get mom’s lap…and we SHARE the dog bed. Deal???
Nymeria: Sigh…ok deal.
Sigh…I keep asking my humom when is she leaving…or if we can trade for a different roommate but she says we have to give Nymeria more time to get settled in. So I guess she’s here to stay…for now…heehee
